The Bushfire Department at Maddens Lawyers is headed by Brendan Pendergast - the firms commercial litigation principal.

John Madden is the firm’s Special Counsel, having personally acted for the victims of the 1983 bushfire and having being involved in litigation all of his professional life.

As an enthusiastic and energetic lawyer, Chris McDonald also forms part of the firm’s bushfire legal team.

In addition our department employs a strong and effective complement of research assistants and law clerks to efficiently maintain and advance our client files.

Our firm has retained highly experienced Barristers in Tim Tobin S.C, Lachlan Armstrong and Andrew Fraatz who have been appearing as our advocates before the Royal Commission, and who will appear in all Court processes and trials.
